Have 2000 SS daily driver. Bought Spec ST2 2 years ago. Already slipping in high gears but it doesn’t slip at all when engaging in 1st. Had read RAM Kevlar clutches lasted longer than original OEM clutches.
Have friend with mustang GT 2001, 6 yrs and loads of miles, and original clutch still grabs great.
What happened?
Original installation included disk, pressure plate, master, slave and recommended shim. I know engine is leaking oil around it. Can it be the oil?
Either way ordered ST2+ disk. Pressure plate seems fine.
Since its daily driven, should I had bought original to get years of service? or maybe order Spec ST1 disk now. I don’t drag race. Just spirited highway driving.
