shifting sloopy at times and notchy

For instance I will drive to work it the shifter might shift smooth and light action and then on the way back from work it will shift notchy and sloppy and I will hear a slight clunk going into gear. What's going on?

Yes all gears. Today it's shifting smooth most of the time.

Sounds like a problem with either your master or slave not allowing your clutch to disengage fully

i just had the ls7 clutch put in mine and im having the same issue. its inconsistent on when i have the problem and the pedal never feels different. the pedal also feels great btw. but when i shift it feels like the gears are catching a little bit. also getting into reverse is a B!TCH

I dunno you guys, but this kind of thing is pretty normal for Camaro's and TA's...

Mine also acts every day a little different, depending on the mood
    It shift better when:
    - the tranny is warmed up
    - I shift at high rpm (the higher the better)

I have a 97 Borg Warner with mineral ATF. I also tried the super expensive GM synchromesh: it shifts smoother but it's still not perfect. It also shifts harder in winter so I went back to ATF.
