Shifter Questions!
i am posting this for a buddy ,, hes just got a 06 gto ls2, 6speed and we was trying to see how to change out stock shitfer... but cant fiuger it out.
and will a b&m rippier fit on from a trans am....
isent he same trannys? t56`s?Patriot Stage 2 heads cam 228.228.581.581. 112 lsa, lts ory Magnaflow cat back, maf,full tune, LS7 Cluch w/ LS2 Flywheel,Pro 5.0,Slotted/Drilled Rotors,Subframe Connectors,Strut Tower Brace,panhard bar,lower control arms, 4.10 gear.

I haven't seen the inside of the GTO but if it is anything like the inside of the Camaro all you do is remove the shifter boot, unbolt the factory shifter, take it off, clean off the transmission where it mounts, put down some silicone to seal it, place the new shifter on, bolt it down, replace shifter boot.

not to thread jack but was the b m in your ta and if so why did you change to the 5.0 I want to get a short throw but dont know what to get.. I know I loved the feel of my buddies 05 roush mustang shifter..

b&M shifter was angeld and the sticks couldent change.. and the shifts was long allmost like the stock shifter
