i think what he said was my 2nd gear scag broke, is that expensive? i'm stuck between dumping money into this tranny (i would replace synchros too) or opting for a tranny from i beleive texas t-56

There are no scags that came standard in a T56. I would steer clear from that repair house.Automatics have sprag clutches.
