    Reverse problems

today i went to drive the bird and i was going to back out and i noticed i couldnt put it in reverse, or i thought so, id have to basically use all my strength to get this thing over in reverse, its weird though, Reverse got tougher to get into, but all the other gears got easier to go into. WTF!? Did something come loose?

Or check your fuses under the hood, too. More specifically the engine control fuse, it's a 20amp fuse. I had the same problem with mine and it threw the code for the shift solenoid gears 1-4. Thought I was going to have to replace it but turned out it was just a blown fuse.

Ok then it's more than likely your reverse lock out solenoid as Cutlass mentioned

GM manual reccomends putting car into 2nd gear before trying to put in reverse, you can try that

i had a fuse blow that controlls the reverse lockout, and there was no way i could even push it over into reverse, so i would think thats not your problem unless its like partially closed? not sure
