    1999 Z28

    removal of engine/trans

    i am taking the engine out the top due to lack of a lift and the engine is ready to come out but it will not break free of the transmission it will not just slide off the input shaft any ideas?

    are you positive you got the top bolt on the bellhousing out ?

    m6 or auto? If auto did you unbolt the torque converter first? Also as Shady mentioned make sure all the bolts are out of the bell housing..

    yes all of the bell housing bolts are out i just cant get the thing to split apart i have shaked twisted used a pry bar everything its not wanting to cooperate

    Are you pulling the trans out the bottom first then pulling the motor out the top? Thats the way you should be doing it...
