Pro 5.0 installed backwards??

Hey guys just installed my new pro 5.0 w/ws6store shortstick, i love it but it hits the right side of the console when i put the car in reverse..........is it possible to have it bolted in backwards???

the POWER TOWER engraved letters are up front by the radio, should they be behind the stick?? i couldnt get it to fit in with the POWER TOWER letters behind the shifter, and it shifts fine w/them forward, but hits the side of the boot......

if anyone wants pics i can take them.......

if im remembering right then yes it is backwards. it has been about 1 1/2 years since i have owned a 6 speed

their stick is angled that comes w/pro 5.0, so is lous short stick.....the ws6 store stick is straight.....

I think the base only goes on 1 way. Silly question, but do you have the stick bolted to the inside or the outside of the base? I could see it hitting the console if the stick was bolted to the wrong side. You follow?

yea i follow........

i got it fixed, THE PRO 5.0 IS installed with lettering to the front as pictured.......the ws6store stick is what messed me up---it comes with bolts to mount it on the stock shifter, they are too long and you gotta use the pro 5.0 bolts.........ALSO, if you'all know what lous short stick looks like, well i bent ws6store's stick over to the left a litte and that also helped on centering the stick in the boot........

i would highly recommend the ws6 store stick for you stock shifter or pro 5.0....its really designed for the stock shifter, but works great on the pro 5.0 if you use the pro 5.0 bolts.........

also, i cut my #6 rubber boot the way pro 5.0 said to do it and pushed it down around the base of the shifter, stock the boot goes around the stick and i wish i handnt cut it to save on noise........i will probly replace it w/a new one.
