Please for the love of all that is good do NOT buy a spec. I had one crap out on me after 8K miles. It was a stg III and I didn't have but maybe 400 at the rear wheels. It only took two launches at the track and I don't drive my car hard very often on the streets.

I ran a stage 5 for 5,000 miles. Blew it up...but it was my fault.

If you get a SPEC clutch, get everything new. Otherwise you could have problems. Flywheel, slave, master, etc...Get it all.
Currently running a SPEC 4 with their billet flywheel. New slave and master (both updated GM parts).

    No issues what-so-ever.
Also...you have to make sure it is all balanced properly.

SPEC 4 has 30-40 launches on MT DR's to date. Still holding like it did after it was broke in.

I updated parts, etc. and did everything just like I was supposed to. I'm glad to see someone having some good luck. I just don't see how spec can rate their stage III as high as they do with so many people having so many problems. I'm sure some of that can be attributed to bad installation, but for this many gear heads to have problems......suspicious if you ask me

I heard SPEC had all kinds of problems with their first Stage 3.
Those issues have been taken care of as I understand it. Although it turned off a lot of people.

The LS7 clutch is great for street use, but it wouldn't be enough grab for me.
