Maybe its the clutch, pressure plate or throwout bearing! Just don't go buying a whole tranny before you know for sure!

around here its around $550 for a basic rebuild, and like $800 for a rebuild that will withstand 600+ TQ.

Mine gets nice and toastie, but my boot is removed...D'oh. But yeah are you talking about the synchronizer. 80,000 isn't bad, wish mine woulda lasted at least a 1/4 of that time...LOL. Is it happening in all gears or just 1 or 2 gears...which gears?

well i noticed gear 2 and 3 but it shifts shitty in all gears. but 2 and 3 are the gears that tend to make spining and kinda grinding noises like the gear wont go in or wants to come out. im takin it to a mechanic tomorow so hopefullly i dont need a trans rebuild. 80k is way to soon for the trans to go
