Monster 3 clutch
upon return from the shop i noticed a little difference with the car with the folllowing mods
new motor, motor mounts, Exhaust and Monster stage 3 with billet steel flywheel, monster slave, monster pilot bearing
i have discussed with Revnorr, 35th, and TooFast in one other thread but i figured id get some other people in on the convo
The situation--
I have approx 150 miles on her since i got her back
the stage 3 monster clutch is rated at 700rwhp and 700rwtq so this is an aggressive clutch
When i am driving i periodically feel (not hear) a knocking through the pedal on my foot. however i do not feel in through the shifter.
also when i go to take off from a stop it is quiet shakey and i get some vibration throughout the entire car.
when in reverse, it almost feels as if i am wheel hopping--although there is no way--the whole car again shakes and rattles and feels like i am having some wheel hop
my question is could it be because i still need to work it in?
or do i need to bleed the clutch?
or is it just because of the nature of the clutch?
do i maybe need a master?
or hell is it something else?
----the car disengages and engages nicely. and the shifts are firm and crisp. which makes me believe i do not need to bleed my clutch

It probably the nature of the clutch. I'm thinking its clutch chatter is what you are feeling.

Songs like chatter, my stage 3 is the same way
Still isn't 100 percent gone but much better than before
just make sure you don't slip it too much on takeoff not to glaze the surface and you should be fine
If it's not gone after break in beat on it a little and it should help the chatter

Don't over rev it on take off to try and keep the chatter down

Chatter was there on my Spec clutch also. Car shook on take off. I have a few thousand miles on it now and have beat on it some and the chatter is just about non-existent.

i have same clutch in for over a year and mines exactly as you described my advice to you is abuse the hell out of it the abuse seems to get rid of the chatter the harder you are on this clutch the nicer it will drive.
