lt1 6 speed grumbling

just the other day i noticed a grumbling in all gears and even at idle clutch in or out hopping not the bearings but i think thats what it is . so im looking for input and also looking for someone recomended in the tampabay area to rebuild it

Check the fluid first.

If its low on transmission fluid, it will get very noisy. Not good for the gears or bearings.

The T56 takes Dexron III ATF, top it off to the fill hole if its low.

just thought i would let everyone know that i pulled out my tranny and found that the clip that holds the through out bearring had come off and the through out bearring was loose and made all that noise i really got lucky!
