LS7 clutch check list
Well i'm going to get the ls7 clutch from sdparts. Here is my list of what I have to order
-ls7 clutch kit
-pilot bearing
-slave cylinder
-clutch alignment tool
-CHEVY FLYWHEEL BOLT KIT
What else is needed and what if any of those are not needed?

Umm from what i can think of is mabey a master cylinder, from a newer model like 01 or 02.
and drill mod, but you dont have to order that lol.

the bolt kit should come with the fly wheel... what kind of mods do you have done???

I had my LS7 clutch/LS2 Flywheel installed last week. So far so good. I had the same parts installed as you listed in your initial post. I can't wait to get to the track without a slipping clutch. I hope to dyno next week as well.

did you install it yourself? if so, anything i should watch out for. also what other mods do you have? The last time i went to the track i got a 13.7 with a 2.4 60', without being able to get it in to 3 and 4th easy, and with an extra 75lbs in it. i also cant wait to see what time how it does with the new clutch.

I had a friends dad (mechanic) do mine...$300 bucks was well worth it, rather than laying on the ground in January lol. Maybe put some new trans fluid in while you're down there and check U-joints, but looks like everything is there.

I had a friend do mine at his shop. Only cost me about $400 here in Canada, so that was a steal. Unfortunately, I don't currently have the space/hoist to do it myself.

I have a friend that is a mechanic so me and him and going to put it in. Should be interesting if we don't do it on a lift.

to get the trans out theres 2 hidden bolts on top and then to get the bell housing the dowls are going to be stuck and make sure u have a swivle head 15 and 13 mm sockes and a long ass ext and ur going to have fun with the feed line u have to push in on the little white peace and then pull on it and it might pop out
