Looking for good T56 Rebuild Shop on East Coast

Just as the title states, I am looking for a reputable shop to rebuild my T56. I was going to try Six Speeds Inc. but they are in Texas and shipping would be alot.

Six Speeds rebuilt mine this summer. Took them abit of time to get it there and back along with the rebuild itself, but the tranny has never been better. When I had them do mine they did free shipping both ways. You might try and call them up and see if they are willing to help you out.

If you were closer to NC, I'd say Bobby's transmission in Kinston... he's built 90% of the local groups transmissions and only one has needed to be redone.. and some of these guys are running 9s and 10s... Bobby himself lifts the wheels on his Camaro...

If your mechanically inclined, I'd just get a rebuild book and or DVD and do it yourself. Save a good bit of money. Standards aren't that complicated to be honest...Automatics are a different story though...

Texas is a little to far to ship a tranny.

Like I said, he builds them pretty much bulletproof. Discuss with him what he can do, but he always beat his own quoted price for me.
