Unhappy help t-56 rebuilt and grindin away

hey guys i recently bought a 2001 z28. the previous owner worked at a gm dealership and said all the mods were done by a gm certified tech. the transmission is a t-56 with steel shift forks, kevlar synchos, b&m short throw and a centerforce dual frictin clutch. i have not yet popped the top to look inside yet but i think the stops might have been adjusted wrong. the other feeling i get is that something is wrong with the synchros. i realize that this makes the daily drive a little more work with shifting but sumthin is up. second gear likes to pop back out when up or down shifting, but it is worse when downshifting. i have to really hold down on the shifter as i release the clutch and sumtimes it will "pop" in order to engage. third gear used to be ok but lately after the trannt warms up i have to hold a lot of pressure against the shifter while releasing the clutch and even then it grinds untill it sits into gear. after it goes in gear it feels like it is always on the verge of popping out. it vibrates a lot, feels like there is pressure trying to pop it out. fourth gear engages fine but feels like the stop is backed out a long ways fifth grinds a little and 6th is fine. when i'm running through the gears at 6200 rpm at the track or just trying to figure out my problems in the street it wont shift into the next gear untill the tach drops a few hundred rpms and of coarse that is really hurting my times any help would be GREATLY appreciated
oh by the way my first time at the track with this car i managed to get a 2.0 60 foot with street tires and a 6-speed it does have some suspension mods and 401 rwhp

    oh yeah

also just wondering the car had an agressive tune put on it and they changed the rev limiter to 6200rpm could that be conflicting with the t-56 making not want to shift untill the rpms come down, it sounds unlikely to me but i'm try to toss every possibilty out there thanx
