HELP!!!Bleeding Clutch
I've read and read these forums before bleeding my clutch. Now I cant get the pressure to build back up in the clutch. I pump it up, loosen bleed screw, tighten bleed screw, release clutch, pump clutch....etc......I just wont build up pressure....just keeps blowing out the dot 3....what am I doing wrong.....?

its coming out of the drain at the bottom of the bell housing where it should...its bleeding properly, just not building up pressure....what sucks is I got to drive it to work tomorrow.....I'm still surfing the net trying to find a way to fix it though.

Is the fluid in the resevoir getting black? Is there any sign of fluid where the rod slides in and out of the master cyl.? That's what I found on mine today. I feel the need to spend some money!

In other words... the seal in the master is worn to the point that its weaping around the dust boot. Pull the panel under the stering wheel( 2 phillips & 2 6mm screws). With a flashlight you should be able to see it without pulling the other panel. Look for the shiny fluid. If thats the case.. and there are tiny bits of black in the resevoir... I put 3 master setups in my '85 T/A. in 100k mi. I havent bled mine since re installing the clutch and tranny any its pedal to the floor to get it in gear. Oh well... tomorrows project.

if youre using a new slave you will have to back the tranny off the bellhousing at least 1/2 inch, so the slave cylinder is allowed to fill up with fluid (gravity feed). Once there is fluid in the slave, just bleed it the way you have been and youre done. I ran into the same thing on a buddy's Camaro.

Bought a Miti vac and bleed through the resovoir. It seemed to take the spungyness feel away but still will stick to the floor from time to time. Also, as I am bleeding with the Miti the clutch pedal feels perfectly normal and does not stick to the floor. Don't get it? I have a slave ready for replacement for when I get time to pull the tranny.

After repeatively using the MITI my clutch problem has just about all gone away. My last bleed I pull 20 in of vac and pumped for about 20 minutes. I think one vac pull should do it. Great tool I bought at Harbor Freight for $50
