    Help

I was driving my Trans Am and the transmission got stuck in fourth gear and does not want to come out of fourth gear. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Is your linkage connected? Do you have fluid in it? Is it an auto or a manual?

Synchro keys broken. Its happened to a few people here and it always seems to be 4th gear. There are upgraded keys available.

Agreed. It's my understanding that the stock keys are hollow.. I think this happened to 35th anni and he had the tranny shop rebuild it with solid style keys..iirc..

Either way sounds like the trany will have to come out ..

    Good luck..
