    Daily Driver clutch kit suggestions?

So I got on it pretty hard today and felt my clutch slipping between 1-2. My car is my d.d. and is basically stock w/ the exception of free mods. What would be my best deal on a new clutch. I've read oem is too soft, but what would be the next step up from that?

i just put in a LS7 clutch. I love the pedal feel and how smooth it operates. Requires the same effort as a stock clutch and can hold sooo much more power.

I'd consider the next step up from stock an LS6....pedal feels stock, but holds a bit more power...

LS6 is barely better than a LS1 clutch. The LS6 clutch came stock on '01-'02 f-bodies. Not much of an upgrade over a LS1 clutch.

With such similar prices i would get an LS7.

In a car that doesn't make much more power than stock there isn't any NEED for an LS7 clutch....

Thanks for all the great input guys. I understand that the LS7 is great clutch, but I'm never gonna run d/r's, just street tires. I just called the previous owner and he told me that the dealership put an oem clutch in it at 57k. It now has 124k and has had more than it's fair share of burnouts. So I figure if the stock clutch can hold up for almost 70k of hard drivin', then an ls6 oughta get me another 50+K. If I can save a $100 over an LS7 clutch and still get something better than stock, then that's what I would do. I think the LS6 fits that criteria.

LOL...yeah right! I've got 23000 miles on my '02 and my clutch is about shot! Completely stock except for free mods and a lid, and those were just put on a few weeks ago.
