clutch shot after 18k miles highway

I put in a spec III clutch one year ago this month and have done quite a bit of highway driving (NJ to Fla & Indy 18k miles in a year) and the clutch seems to be slipping.
Its not as bad going through the gears, if at all. The problem is when in 5th or 6th and cruising, anything acceleration more then needed to maintain speed and the car shakes and clutch slips. Im kinda pissed because I figured the clutch setup I bought would be overkill with 700ftlb capacity on a stock SS. Is this a pressure plate failure or early clutch failure? Maybe my master cyl is shot again and the clutch isnt seating properly?

Personally I think SPEC clutches suck.

I would say 18k out of a spec III is pretty good. There are many that have gotten a lot less.

    Want a new car

I should start a new thread but I have been on this board for a while and even bought/sold stuff , then they make a 100 post requirement to do the same thing so now I still need a few more post to get to 100, I know they are trying to get rid of scammers but they are affecting some long term users with just not 100 posts. sorry for the vent!

some aftermarket clutches made need a firewall adjuster too.. so you can adjust the travel of the clutch pedal... just my 2cents..
