I Just ordered an LS7, from research I've heard its nice for street and mild abuse. Very smooth and no chatter too I read.

Although I love my LS7, I'm not sure it'll handle your needs. Go with the Spec2.

Expect to have lifetime chatter if you use a Spec clutch....

I would go with maybe a Monster or even Textralia if you have the cash.

Spec clutches are so hit or miss. When they miss, its by a mile. Chattering and premature failure is reported often. That said, The volume of Spec clutches out in customers cars is by far greater then a Monster or Textrilla. Higher complaints should be expected. Kinda like Moser rear ends. My Spec 3 has performed great, zero complaints. If I ever replace it though, it will be with a Monster or Textrilla, without a doubt. They make some seriously great setups. For the power you have in mind, forget the LS7, and probably Spec's also. Start looking at a Monster or Textrilla.

Agree with Hi-Po. I have the Spec Stage 3+. The 3+ is rated at 800 ft-lb of torque.

I have mild chatter on take off and then I am fine. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my vehicle, so anything that is out of the norm really bothers me. With that said, if I had it to do again, I would go with a different set-up. Hopefully mine will last a long time though, as it was just installed this past summer and I don't put many miles on my vehicle.

I just installed a Monster Stage 3 in my buddies C5, and he loves it. Drives like stock, and holds well, granted he is on stock power, but it was installed in lieu of a supercharger that may or may not be going on soon.

    +1

I'd reccommend a Monster clutch, 500WHP is about 100WHP too much for an LS7 clutch to handle, especially under hard use.

LS7 is an excellent clutch, but that much power is pushing it.
