Clutch pedal to floor
Hi all.........I need all I can find out about the clutch set up in my 98 SS.....during a cruise the pedal was pushed and never came back up. Mmm checking out what I have before I tear in to it......I really cant figure out how the "slave" throw out bearning works? Any way I think the master cyl may be the problem but not sure till I take it off. I'm looking for Ideas on best parts and what is the cause. Clutch was fine only 44k miles on orginal clutch. any ideas would help......what to check, how to check and best parts to use. Oh ya being OLD School I have found that I dont know shit about my car........but I do know its faster than either of the 70s I have had. Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The stock master cylinders on 98-00s are not very good. As soon as you start driving hard you have issues. My clutch pedal was doing the same thing and I replaced the MC with a 01-02 model and did the drill mod. Since then I've had no issues. There is some info on the sticky in this section about the clutch pedal you should read it.
