    Clutch Issues and Questions

Last summer I changed me Master and Slave cylinder's in my clutch, both went out. At the time I didn't have the $$$ to upgrade the clutch and flywheel. I hope in the next 2 months to be able to. I also did the clutch mod at the same time too. After the repairs/mod my clutch pedal is not as firm as before, expected that from the mod, but it seems to engage/disengage the clutch about 2" off the floor vs the middle like before the mod.

Is this the right height off the floor for the clutch to engage/disengage?

Its been shifting fine for the last 6 months but lately shifting thru the gears if I get on it hard the clutch seems not to be able to keep up with the shift, otherwise I grind a couple of times.

I'm looking at getting a LS7 clutch kit, any other suggestions? Looking to keep it around $700 or less. It's not a track car, but in the future I do want to take to the track once and a while. Future mods H/C/I would like to get to around 500 RWHP, but that is 1 to 2 yrs away.

so you did the 'drill mod' correct?? Anyways sounds like there is air in the system since the pedal engages/disengages closer to the floor.
Have you read the clutch bleed sticky => How to bleed a clutch
