What kind of mods do you have/plan on having, and what clutch are you getting?

Due to the hydraulic clutch release system design on these cars, it is NOT reccommended that you have the flyhweel machined. When you change the clutch, you should replace the flyhweel with a new one to match that clutch.

If you buy a clutch kit from the auto parts store, it will come as a complete set with a flywheel for that reason.

You should have seen the turd of a flywheel I just pulled out of my car yesterday. Blue and uneven... Always replace the flywheel when changing the clutch!!

Why does everybody like the LS7 kit? I only have light bolton's right now. I already pretty much have mind set on a spec right now.

A lot of people consider the Spec a piece of garbage. The LS7 for light bolt ons is inexpensive and an excellent clutch! Highly recommend!

Seems to be the general consensus with those clutches... I have a friend who had an SVT contour and ran the Spec, it was trash...almost rattled the teeth right out of your face. I'm glad you lucked out though!
