So I am buying a 2002 camaro SS SLP Monday.
I can tell that it needs a new throw out bearing. From what I have heard the throw out is part of the clutch plate. It has 75 K on it so I figure that I will put a new clutch and pressure plate while I have it all out. Do you guys have any idea what kind of clutch I might run. I plan on doing a little bit of harder driving (not much) thinking of maybe a center force but not sure.
What do you guys think ??
Thanks Jeff D

Go with the Z06 clutch kit from fred beans GM parts. Thats what i put in my 98 and i love it! When it was new i was chirping 4th gear and the pedal feel is the same as stock it doesnt get all stiff on you. Ive got probably 15,000 miles on it now and im still chirping 3rd with 275's in the back.

I warn everyone I can, DO NOT go with the CenterForce. Go with the LS7 and flywheel, since you are in there. and slave. That way you only have to drop the tranny once. Plus who knows what the flywheel looks like, won't know that until you drop the tranny. Better safe than sorry.
p/n's: GM24237690 and GM12571611
