Changing the clutch?
So I am going to be putting LT's and new motor mounts on my car, my question is: Should I change my clutch then or when it goes bad? I only ever changed one clutch before and I had the motor out of the truck, what all needs done to changed it?
thanks

It'll actually be easier after you have the LT's on the car so it's up to you.
Easiest way I've found is to remove the ypipe for more clearance, unhook the slave cylinder lines, then unbolt the center section from the bellhousing and seperate from there so you have more room.
The first time I did one we removed the tranny as 1 piece and it was a pain in the ass to pull back far enough and then reinstall it.

I was able to get it without removing the Y-Pipe but, like Benner said, the extra clearance would have been nice! Definitely separate the trans from the bell housing- the top bolts on the bell housing are near to impossible to get to with the trans connected. Now, since you don't have to take the trans out in order to do the LTs or the motor mounts, I'd just wait until you need a clutch before taking everything apart.
