bronze or needle bearing
Should I use the bronze bushing or the needle bearing in the pilot bearing? I heard to use the bronze it supports it better?

I personally don't like the needle bearing setup.
You have to be very carefull when reinstalling the trans,,,and thats hard to do with something that weighs 2-300 lbs. It has to go in as straight as possible or the input shaft can damage the needle bearing assembly.
Other than that they work okay,,,but I've had to R&R a trans a second time due to this little hickup.
I actually prefer a simple bushing,,,,it will last the life of a clutch no problem,,,I change them every clutch job anyway,,,and you don't have to be so gentle with them,,,lol.
