Best 6spd clutch set?
What is the best for the price as far as buying a new clutch set... I work at OReilly's and the one we have on the computer is 372$ w/o my discount... What is a good aftermarket brand that is good for the price? It's for a 00 T/A btw

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
For that price??
Can't be a very solid clutch. Let me know what brand if possible.
Textralia is one of the better kits...but they aren't cheap.

Clutch
I would bought the centerforce dual fricton and WOULDNT by any other brand... They make a great product and my launches are much harder... Make sure that you get a flywheel too... many times the flywheel develops hotspots and its better to bet on the side of caution instead of gettin it all apart and realizing you need one

Ram clutches are REALLY expensive though... Centerforce is the best bang for your buck.. I got mine for about 400 through summit..

a lot of people have commented about the Ls7 cluth/Ls2 flywheel combo being an excellent upgrade for our cars. at, around or even under $400...

NOOB Question
now with that LS7Clutch/LS2Flywheel does that bolt straight into our LS1s or is there a adapter needed for it?

supposed to be a direct bolt on/bolt in. only other thing recommended are new master and slave cylinders if you have the issue of you clutch pedal sticking to the floor under hard acceleration...

yeah, ive heard only good thing about the gm clutches for close to stock power levels.
I know centerforces for other cars I've owned have been less than satisfactory.

I have it, and as SSwt00SS said its a 100% direct bolt in. No adapter or modification needed.
gm parts direct has it pretty cheap, and they are a sponsor. They have the LS7 clutch and matching LS2 flywheel for $464.55 w/ shipping

and the clutch line would come on the master cylinder which is a sperate cost. Don't forget a slave cylinder too.

The Alum., flywheels are lighter, but they are also weaker than the steel ones.
