bad clutch

ok well first off when ever i put the clutch pettal all the way down my shifter shakes and you can feel a vibration in it and it just dosent feel like it use to when i take it outa 5th and then back into 5th it grinds and when i go into R it grinds too do i need to replace the clutch?

sounds more like 5th gear and reverse gears have been torn out, the only way to be sure is take the tranny out, typically if a clutch is bad you will just notice a lot of slipping or if its gone it won't go into gear at all, or just not move at all, but its hard to tear 5th gear, easy for reverse you either had a lot of hard shifts going into 5th or a car that chirp the hell outta 5th and reverse is fairly easy to go depends on how many times you backed up and slammed it into 1st doing burnouts lol, i don't think cluth kits are too expensive but if your gears are chipped or torn then your fucked, its gona expensive for that because your looking at having the whole tranny rebuilt. personaly i've never had good luck with ANY rebuilt tranny you would be better off ordering a new one from the factory if you can afford it, or just drop a Muncie 4 speed in it

well i have never backed up and slammed it into 1st and its only when i go into them gears they work fine its just i gota like jam it sometimes into R and it sounds like some one who dosnt put the clutch in all the way but i put it to the floor
