I'm happy with mine. I installed the LS7 clutch kit on my LS6 this past summer. It took a little while to break in. The clutch grabs when the pedal is still close to the floor. My car is just a street driven car. I'm not going to do any racing with it. I suppose if you wanted to race you might want to invest in a more expensive aftermarket clutch assembly.

The LS6 clutch kit is a 01+ stock replacement. It's just a stock replacement clutch. Great for normal drive ability and stock power levels. Not great for hardcore abuse or back to back to back track passes.

I installed an LS6 clutch in my wifes car a few years back. Before the LS7 setup became readily available in the aftermarket.

It works fine, stock pedal feel, no chatter, fine for a daily driver, and wife is happy . I've raced the car a few times. With a small cam and some bolt ons, this clutch has seemed to work fine. Never any indication of giving up. However I run street tires on the car so they tend to spin before the clutch would give up.

Well summit said it would hold 500 ft pounds, I guess of you guys agree it's just a stock replacement I'll take my money elsewhere. I have around 3 thousand to spend on clutch kit and I want a flywheel too, slave and adjust master, and a freshen up of the trans.

Centerforce makes a nice clutch kit and they can help you out with the flywheel as well. 3k should be more then enough to get the entire job done. good luck.
