    Anybody installed one of these?

has anyone here installed a Pro 5.0 shifter? I have one on the way, should be here around the middle of the week or so...any thing i need to look out for? or is it pretty much straight forward?

It is pretty straightforward, but do keep in mind that you need a set of feeler gauges to get it adjusted properly.

The hardest part is pulling the console out. You have to stand the e-brake handle straight up in the air to remove the console. At least you do in a TA. Also I think you have to cut a little bit of the lower shifter boot to get it to fit over the new shifter base.
When I did mine I just followed the right up on install U's website. If you do what they tell you too you'll be done in no time. They also have pretty pictures.

That’s true.. it will take a little time to get use to.. but its a kick ass shifter. One thing, make sure you tighten all the bolts. My came lose on my while i was in traffic in Houston. Wasn’t to much fun.

I had no problems putting mine back in. It wasn't hard to take apart. Getting the e-brake in the right position is a little tricky though. I put some teflon tape on the bolts to keep them from backing out.

The teflon tape will make them loose totque. They may go in easier, though. You should have used a thread locker( Loctite)

Are you talking about the ones that go in the trans or the ones that hold the tower together?
