    4.8L and T-56

Hey everyone got a quick question for you. I have a 2000 Chevy Truck with a 4.8L and am wanting to switch to the T-56 transmission. Is this possible? I've heard the block are the same outside of a camaro being aluminum, is this true? Thanks for the help, I've been searching for a couple days now and haven't found any solid info.

Assuming you don't have to convert the engine( like from an autoto manual) You should be able to do this. You will find that the shifter is too far rearward. There is a supplier for forward-mounted shifters for the T56= Keisler automotive.
