4-5 grinds on ws6
I have 2002 t/a ws6, 4-5 grinds when I'm getting on it, but if i work the Throttle a bit it will slide in. Is it the stock shift fork pad? and where is it?
thanx Anthony

You do realize that 5th is an overdrive and that as a "power" gear it is less that optimum, right? Hard shifting into 5th may be the basic problem but it sound like the synchro may be worn and no linger likes high energy shifts.
If what you are saying is that you have to speed-match to even shift without clashing, then the synchro and possibly the fork pads and gear synchro teeth may be toast. These components are at the rear of the trans so, a full teardown is not required to address them. It still requires removal from the car and at that point, you may as well go through the whole thing. That just what I would do, though.
