3rd and 4th gear grinding?
hey my clutch seems to be grinding pretty badly when you put it into 3rd or 4th gear. the rest of the gears are fine. and once in a while, only happened like twice the shifter was stuck in 3rd gear and it took a while to get out. put a new clutch master in and checked the slave cylinder. think i need a new trans?

Search is your friend. 3/4 fork bending/jump out/ stuck in gear are well known issues. Get an iron 3/4 fork.

torque converter
It sounds like your torque converter is bent. Try replacing that.

You have a bad 3/4 sincro. Yo uhave probly broken or worn down the dogs and it is causing the grinding. You need to order a 3/4 sincro assmbley, 3/4 Block rings and you should be fine. If you sre hard on it i recomend upgrading to a steel 3/4 shift fort, billet inserts for the 3/4 sincro assmbley and getting brass shift fork pads. You can get all this from D and D performance for about 350.00 www.ddperformance.com . plus the money to get the tranny taken apart and put back together. I 've used them for all my customers tranny's and also in mine. If your tranny has over 100,000 miles on it i recomend getting a rebuild kit from thme as well. It will save you having to go back in their again. If you are going to try to tackle this on your own, it is a big job and not for the inexperienced. If you get a part out of place or not lined up properly you will ruin all that you have done, not to scare you it can be done. I did my first one by my self with only the rebuild manual. Hope this helps feel free to ask me anything else.
