What would you do?
I've got an '89 GMC 1/2 ton. It is stock with a 350, 4-speed auto (I'm assuming 4l60), & 120,000 miles. Truck is in good condition except the clutches for 3rd gear or ate up. I've got a quote of $1300 to get it rebuilt. I'm not sure I want to sink that much in a 21 year old truck.

89 might be 700r4. Do it, nothing worth having car payment on out there this year.

I think I'm gonna get it fixed and then put it up for sale. In the mean time keep my eye out for a good deal on a 2007 or newer used truck. I got told about one yesterday and if everything I was told is true, it is a real good deal. I'm gonna check it out today.

Well the really good deal turned out to be not such a good deal. I was told the wrong price. $16,000 wrong.

While I was looking around yesterday, I saw an '08 for $29,000. i think the sticker price for a new 2010 like I want is $31,000.
