Sorry LS2 Tuner did not mean that your advise was not good - Just giving my opinion and what worked for me.I have dealt with several manufactures that get it wrong. Also sending stuff back still means labor to get it back out.SORRY for my opinion.

well yes and no...TCs lock up at 45...so highway will not get effected...and city gets affected a little but not if you can control your right foot....the power is there..it just flashes to the stall speed..which equals in the powerband quicker..thats it in a nutshell...power is still there and goes to the wheels.

Time for a 150 shot and it will pull like a freight train ALL the way down the track!!

How tall of tire are you running? I hope it's like a 28" 275/60/15 if your running a stock cam still.

Are you running a hand held or custom tune?

engine is pure stock(98Z-305 hp),stock 25 3/4 " tires 17".I'm old school from the 60s' when torque and gears ruled the streets.I don't strip race it much but I set it up for street fun.MPG is good with 4.56s',even drove it down to Florida and back from Ohio.

With that steep of gear and that rubberband tire I hope you have at least done the V-6 swap on the rear springs. If not it will make it hook 20X's better on the street.

Shit a good tune would make a HUGE difference with that gear too!!

    Welcome to the site.

On the street,it couldn't hook better.Poly bushings on the LCAs' and panhard bar, double adjustable QA1s'(24 on the compression and 0 on the rebound),LCA relocation brackets and Nitto 315/35-17 drag radials(MT 275/40-17 wouldn't hook).

God if you can hook on the street with 17" Nitto's and 4.56's your car is crying for a tune. So it still has the stiff ass Z28 springs?

Depends on how mechanically skilled you are. First off you would need some large jack stands to get the car high enough because I'm guessing you don't have access to a lift.
Then we are talking about dropping the exhaust,un hooking the driveshaft, tranny lines, shifter, and X-member.
Then you need to unbolt the trans. while supporting it with a floor jack. Undo the TQ conv. bolts from the flex plate. Now you need to get the trans off the locating dowel's without letting it slide off the floor jack. Lower it take stock HUGE heavy conv. out. Pour fluid in new one. Lube the outer hub of the conv. now put on the input shaft. Spin with your hands until it goes all the way in the input and engages on the pump tangs and. . . . . . . . Re install.

That is just a quick run down for you from the streets homie not step by step. But that should give you an idea of weather or not you want to fuck with it.

That is the best way to learn!

I like to use this cooler on F-Bodys because of it's compact design and is Very efficient. You can get it to where it's placed in front of your small grill so it see's good air flow.

Also Shady you would be making a mistake to NOT have a TransGo shift kit installed at the same time. It will greatly improve tranny life and lower heat due to less slippage.
