No but I think dex3 might be better than the royal purple stuff

I use regular tranny fluid. Nothing special. A transmission cooler is more important.

Dexron-VI -- Introduced in 2006 for GM Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed rear-wheel-drive transmissions. Dexron VI now replaces Dexron III and II, and can be used in GM or import transmissions that formerly specified Dexron III or II.

All the major oil makers produce it. I can find valvoline in my area pretty easy for $5 a quarts.

i changed the tranny fluid/filter in the monte carlo ss and installed the castrol dexron VI, $6.95 a quart, but the trans shifts are definately smoother. side note:my owners manual called for dexron III with H specification, and the castrol dex VI was the only thing advance auto parts had that had a H specification. what is the deal with the H specification?
