Weird rattle when slowing down and in reverse?
I have a A4 with a 3600 stall and for some reason when I am slowing down I have a rattle which is coming from under my console like beneath the shifter or the console compartment. It will also sometimes rattle when in reverse. The rattle goes away when I totally stop and does not happen when driving. The car shifts and drives fine. I am hoping it may be a heat shroud or something along those lines. Anyone have any ideas. Was also thinking maybe a broken tranny mount but I do not feel any clunking or anything when shifting.
Thanks for your help

Best, if you think it's something like a heat shield to jack and safely support the vehicle. Then get under and start looking @ things.. A rattle could be anything..
