I was needing to know if I will need a tune or not to make car shift and run right.

Yeah you should tune it. TSP gives big discounts for mods to the tune if you used them for the first tune

I am from northeast AR. Little town named Pocahontas. Our closest city with a mall is Jonesboro which is an hour from here. Oh yeah I still live 2 miles down a gravel road. Sucks.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a question. Does a 2800-3000 stall have to have a "tune"? I thought these stalls were just installed and ready to run?

If you know, please let me know

What do you mean by the term loose? It's not comprehending in my pea brain what that means.

loose meaning you have to give the car more pedal to get moving. stock covnerter, you barely touch the pedal and off you go. with a higher stall comverter, it takes more pedal input to move the car. this is due to the design of the converter to stall higher. once you get to where the stall rating is at. it starts to revert back to a 1:1 coupling.

for instance: a converter with a 2.4:1 STR ( Stall Turn Ratio). the converter exterior will turn 2.4:1 times while the stator inside the converter the input shaft attaches to turns once. once you get to the stall rating and the car is moving, this ratio starts to decrease.

best explaination i can give you.

    from Yank's site

Most people adjust quickly to a looser converter. If you are unsure of whether looseness will be a concern, consider test driving a friend's car before buying a converter.
