Sounds familiar, got the same problem with mine after a rebuild, but suspect the garage to be the problem. An auto transmission uses solenoids to act on the clutches inside the transmission. So if the Cluch plates are worn or the solenoids are knackered then it will slip. Apparently I have an inherent electrical problem with mine that has cause this failure. Will find out the cause tomorrow hopefully. I would suggest taking it to a specialist.

Too much POWA....not enough oil, not rebuilt correctly...etc. Your slipping in 4th? When is it slipping (WOT, normal driving)? My trans slips terribly in 3rd when at WOT (hitting the 6700 rev limiter in 3rd at 65 mph) but when driving normally it's fine. We need more info.

it could be a number of things.probably want built right.mine did the same thing after a "rebuild" turned out to be bad clutch clearance.3-4 clutches.
