Check the fluid, and maybe do a flush. Has it ever been done before?

Well be very carefully with it those tranys are junk and little abuse will mess them up how many miles are on it? Any power adder? Is it the 65e or 60 (gt or GTP)

Dang they normally start doing what your talking about at around 160 its been babied that's a good sign.. honestly I would just recommend babying it as much as you can .. not so sure a flush will help the slip

Drop the trans pan and clean it out. Look for metal shavings and such. I it is not too bad, replace the filter, clean down the evalve body with brake clean and then bolt the pan back up. When filling the trans use 1 qt. of Lucas trans fix then fill with trans fluid that is called for on the dip stick. Warm up the vehicle and drive. Good luck
