Tranny servo's?

I keep seeing the Jet servos for the auto tranny supposed to give you firmer shifts. What exactly does the servo do and is it worth buying one or should I go for a shift kit.

Sorry for questions been out of the RWD world for a while been tuning FWD sorry about that!

Usually the servo contains a piston that applies the band to perform the shift. Most aftermarket servos have a larger surface area to apply more force when the shift occurs. Short of replacing the band with one having more friction area or a better grabbing compounds, is the best way to keep a trans from slipping when more power is applied.

You are probably better served with a shift kit at this time.
If you rebuild the trans, the answer would be different.
Just remember RWD,RWD, RWD.

So this causes less slipping and slipping is bad for a auto. Yes RWD RWD RWD lol! The FWD is fast though its a S/C CRX but takes alot of drama to go fast and the T/A just does it like its nothing!
