    Sadly now demodded :(

The cold probably isn't helping if you don't let it warm up a bit 1st. Have you checked the fluid level? When was the last time the tranny was serviced. Also how many miles on the tranny? Nothing lasts forever.

You also might need to have the tranny tuned. Torque management, line pressure and shift points (and quite a bit more) are all adjustable with the use of a higher level program (LS1Edit, HPTuners. TunerCat, etc).

Mine does this when it's cold... But nowhere near to that extent... I think it MIGHT get up to like 1000 RPM... I usually just let the engine push me along while it's warming up IF I HAVE to drive it while it's cold... Always a good idea to let your car run for at least a minute before driving... To pass the time check your tires... They could lose some air in the cold weather.

If im driving cold it goes up an extra 500-700 rpms when shifting, but never nearly that high, i might hit 3k under normal driving.
