Torque Convertor questions
Im, wanting to get a 3200-3600 stall convertor, so i can start modding the rest of my car, hearing from other members their saying start with the t.c. but i have a few questions. where do i get a convertor like this? and aroiund how much am i looking at for a bill here...i can install it myself, but still wondering where i can get one at a decent price. what size convertor do i get also? when iget the convertor is there any other mods needed to be done to the car or tranny, ie shift kit, or drilling of restrictor plate or what not? its just im new to the t.c area, and have alot of questions, but want to really start somewhere, so i can wake my lil maro on up. any information would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

Fuddle. Site Sponsor and I'm running their 3200. Smart investment on your part would be a tranny cooler. Easy to install, cheap, and adds a little insurance to your tranny.

I'm running a fuddle here also. I've had no issues with mine. I would get something like a 3500-3600 stall and yes, it'll bolt right up. Like was said before, a tranny cooler is a must.

I'm going to put a converter on my car before headers. You'll gain more from a converter.

Do you have a 3 foot long extension for your ratchet? The top tranni bolt is a long way up there.

yeah, you will most likely need some tuning. I had to raise my idle a tad and change shift points. Talk to Frost on that, he can do a mail order tune for you and it's pretty damn cheap considering.

i believe my shift points have been messed with already...not sure so i have no proof on this, but if they were changed already would that affect a mail order tune?

no, he would set it up to shift where you wanted it anyhow.
