torque converter
how is it going guys, pretty sure this has been asked before but im plannin on rebuilding my tranny on the Z and would also like a new converter to go with it.. so question is what... stall converter would you reccomend to run to make the car real fun to drive and also mainting the drivavility as a daily driver ... never driven a stalld car so please help. thx

you'll most likely get a bunch of different answers to this question. Do you plan on other mods down the road like heads/cam? I ran my 3500 with bolt ons and loved it then and still love it now with heads/cam. Couldn't see me running smaller than that.

I am in the tail end of the thought process on upgrading the transmission in our car. With a mix of street and track in the plans, PerformaBuilt has recommended I go with a 3,200 stall converter and their Level II transmission.

the typical range of recommended stalls is 3000-4000 with most in the 3500-3600 range.
