Tighter stall with higher viscosity ATF?

Has anyone tightened up their converter by using a higher viscosity ATF? I have a 3000-rpm converter that is not as tight (efficient) as I would like. When the trans and ATF are cold, the converter is tighter due to the higher viscosity of the ATF, but when the trans gets up to normal operating temperature (yes, I have a trans cooler), it is looser than I like. I also occasionally get a P0700 code because the converter is slipping a little too much. I'm very happy with the converter otherwise. Thanks for your help.

Go with Lubrication Engineers Monolec 7500 www.le-inc.com/. It is slightly thicker than Dexron III. It offers better lubrication, runs cooler, does not aerate easily, does not thin out as easily. This is one way of reducing the stall a little, especially if you are happy with it being a little tighter.

Thanks for the information. Do you happen to know where I could buy Monolec? I have also been considering Red Line Synthetic High-Temperature ATF. That has a higher viscosity then regular ATF. Do you have any experience with the Red Line ATF?
