Three transmissions later = electrical problems ???

Well here it is & for those of you who can help me, well I will be grateful!!!

I have just installed my third tranny on my 1997 V6 Chevy Camaro.
The first one was replaced after about 50k and the second one just
40k miles later. My third one, of which I have just replaced and have
had about three weeks is giving me the same signs as the previous
tranny just before they blew out (slipping of gears, hardshifiting).

    Here is the catch :

My car has had electrical problems for a few years now and they have
not been consistant enough to be diagnosed. Basically, my power windows
and stereo will blink off at the same time. They will be non functional until
of course the radio comes back on. My belief is that these electrical problems
are the underlying cause for the transmission to die. According to AAMCO, my
third tranny's torque converter was blown out and thus it contributed to
the tranny having to be rebuilt.

I am becoming more confident to say that my trannys are dying from electrical problems of which I have no idea what they are. Do you guys know
of any problems from electrical of which would cause the tranny to die?

    Please help, please!

    Thanks,

    Brian B.

They couldnt diagnose the problem? Are you using the same torq. converter each time your tranny goes?

Well this time I got a new one. I am fairly sure it's an electric problem.
I dont' wanna tell AAMCO this because then they will say that it is not
covered. I just bought the darn tranny three weeks ago. I need to find
what the electrical problem is and how it would relate to the improper functioning of the tranny. I've been overwhelmed with this problem for
    over a month now.

if your having electrical problems that will kill a tranny, it will not supply enough to the A & B solenoids, are you loosing pressure? what does it feel like? are you haveing the same probles over and over? does the same part or problem go out or occure everytime?

    ZBoner ~

Basically, my gears are slowly losing and I am unable to switch to different
gears. I have an automatic transmission and at this point, the gears do not
switch to a lower gear, rather, my car works harder and at higher RPMS.
The third tranny, I was able to notice that the car was not able to switch to
Overdrive on the freeway and thus stayed in third gear. Now after they
have switched out the tranny with the new one, i noticed hard shifting in first
and second gears. At the same time, the stereo/power windows would repeatedly turn on and off, which all leads me to believe that it is electrical.

What about the A and B solanoids? It does feel like I have less power on the freeway when accelerating. I have noticed it, not significant, but definately
noticeable. Im sure it will get worse in time. Im hopijng I can determine
the electrical problem before I have to replace the tranny a fourth time.
What a freakin dissapointment and JOKE!

Please help me with your knowledge of the Solanoids as I think this is the
right path. AAMCO said something about this A and B thing briefly, but
give me your insight. Thanks so much!!!!

95 LS, yes it says LS

Make sure the tranny you bought is wired OBD-ll. The elec. plugs have diff. prong patterns.

Thanks guys, i had to give up the camaro. It had far too many transmission
problems to deal with. I did however pick up a full-sized Toyota Tundra. It's a wonderful truck with just enough power and big enough to tow around it all.
