Depending on what you plan on doing with the car, i would suggest a 3400 stall, doesnt do much for daily driving as far as adverse conditions.

    1. Desired stall is dependent on engine power and the usage of the car.

My Caprice has a 383 (approx 370HP and 400TQ at the wheels), 3.73 gears and a 3000 stall Yank converter. Perfectly streetable and it is my daily driver.

My Impala has a 396 (420HP and 450TB at the wheels), 4.10 gears and a 3600 Yank stall. It's a bit less streetable, but it's a weekend driver and strip car.

    2. Higher stall can effect the RPMs at which your car will preceed forward from a dead start. Also, higher stall will have a bit more slippage. These are the two most notable effects you'll see in your daily driver. But depending on the engine's power band......rear gear ratio and vehicle weight, you may barely notice these issues.

Lighter weight cars will handle higher stall TC's better than heavier cars......all other things being equal.
