Who knows. Maybe cause they sell more of the other kits or could be the vendor also!

All I know is there is major difference in what they include.

The red/white/blue kit (4L60EHD2) is the reprogramming kit that is for the transmission shop. It comes with the HD input drum return springs. The other kit (for the do-it-yourselfer) does not come with the HD input drum return springs, and it comes with a video. Always go with the written instructions, as it is updated constantly, as the video is not updated.

Yes the TransGo kit is better than B&M's.
If you talk to any real tranny builder that build race trannys on a regular basis and they all use TransGo.
Not sure where your at I didn't look but a nice tranny cooler is a good investment also. If you do install one make sure you put a MAG/FILTER in-line right before it goes into the new cooler also.

Ya i had a shift kit in my old bird, and when it got hit i baught a ta with a shift kit already in it, blew the tranny a month into it, then when i got it back i blew it three days later.. Sucked.. so the company that did it took out my shift kit (i had a 3 year waranty) and now i technically cant touch it...

im pretty sure it governs the torque like when you gun it or when you are slowing rolling then shift from like R to D...when i had mine taken off felt like a new animal and broke the tires loose alot easier

depends which kit you get, you can make them softer or harder i personally like to feel the car shift but its adjustable through the kit or the tune (add line pressure during shifts)
