shift kit for automatic
ive been thinking about putting a shift kit in my trans am ive did some research and all the ones who put a transgo shift kit in said it takes the lag/slush out of the peddle im wondering if it affects the gas mileage at all and top end. more worried about losing top end than gas mileage

I put in the TransGo... I could be wrong, but I don't think it changes anything which would impact MPG. It simply firms up shifts.
Well worth it, but I'd do it when you put in a conveter and tranny cooler. Of course, you can do the kit pretty easy, a converter is much more work.2000 WS6 TA #2946 - A4, Best 1/4: 12.5s @111mph.

I agree.. put a transgo into mine as well.. WAY better feel... but after the tune.. if Im in a turn and romp on it.. that 1-2 shift kicks the ass around real fast..

Trans go kit here. The kit itself wont lower mpg, just the heavier foot that will go with it.
No reduction in top end power either.

I can't recall how long it took to install mine, I'd say less than 3-4 hours if you took your time. The Trans Go kits come with a video as instructions, so I watched it once before beginning the install. (At least, they used to come with a video, I can't say now). I would time this work when you think you need a fluid change too.
