rebuilt, when do i change fluid

Basicly just like the title asks. Fully built my a4 with all the good parts, tranny cooler, shift kit and 3,800 stall and was wondering how soon I should change the filter and fluid.

after 5 to 10 k and then 15 to 20k. really need to just monitor the fluid and if it ever starts to change color, change it and the filter.

k thanks guys, i was thinking about 10,000, but I'll get ready and do it next weekend. the fluild is still pink, with just a bit of "used" tint to it so I guess its time.

If you can afford a case of it, Amsoil is the best tranny fluid out there. It's actually a 20wt fluid, rather than a 10wt like most trans fluids. The guy I use to build all my race transmissions swears by this stuff, and he's been building transmissions since 1975.
