    New gm transmission

Ok so my tranny is screwed. A chevy dealer just quoted me 2100 hundred bucks for a new tranny and 1300 dollars for labor and fluids. The lady said it would take 10 hours to do the tranny? Just seems like a lot, somebody on hear i read said the book time was only 4.7 though. I just don't want to get screwed here because i don't have much cash and I have never been to this dealer before.
    thanks for the replies guys

These folks know what they are doing.

Then if you don't want to do the swap yourself you can take it to a reputable mechanic. $3400 is a lot of money for a tranny and labor.
